Our Mission

Inspire youth to continue education after high school by learning the performing arts, proven life-prep skills, promoting mental health, and receiving scholarship dollars.

Our Goal

To ensure youths graduate high school and are prepared to continue their education, whether degreed or vocational, toward a career which will support them for life.

Project Self Control combines proven youth development techniques, performing arts programs, and scholarship incentives teaching children positive energy outlets and coping skills.  They look forward to graduating and are better prepared to succeed in life and overcoming real-world challenges.

Our life-prep skills; PSC Mentors and musical theater programs run during summers and throughout the school year.  Students may participate from 6th grade through high school graduation.

Grades 6th through 12th are PSC KIDS.  PSC Kids will earn scholarship dollars toward continuing education whether it be college or vocational.  The younger a student enrolls in the PSC program, the more money they earn upon graduating high school.

Our life-prep Musical Theater Program uses the performing arts to teach social-emotional learning, how to recognize negative behaviors and avoid them, promotes mental health through accredited curriculum teachings of coping skills for life and how to identify and develop their strengths.

The ultimate goal of Project Self Control is to ensure students graduate high school and are prepared to continue their education toward a career which will support them for life.

Substance abuse disorders are among the top social challenges to American society.  For those they effect, they create a negative impact on every aspect of life.

Studies prove that substance abuse by children and young people can lead to a variety of problems including the development of delinquent and self-destructive behaviors, anti-social attitudes, and mental and physical health related issues.

According to a National Survey on Drug Use and Health, an estimated 22.5 million Americans ages 12 years and older are illicit drug users.  22.5 million represents 8.7% of the total American population in that age group.

The Problem

To break the cycle of low self worth, low self-esteem, substance abuse and self-destructive behavior among youth by addressing the mind (mental health), body (nutrition and excercise) and soul (inspirational teachings);

  • PSC MENTORS (positive role models)

    (Arise curriculum)
