Our Mission

Giving children the tools to overcome real-world challenges, such as low self-image; bullying; drug and alcohol use; by addressing the mind, body, and soul, through our PSC Life-Prep Skills, Performing Arts and Scholarship Workshops.

Our Goal

To prepare children to continue their education, whether degreed or vocational, toward a career which will support them for life.

Scholarships & The Arts

Project Self Control combines PSC Life-Prep Skills; PSC Performing Arts; and PSC Scholarship Program incentives. Kids look forward to graduating high-school and are better prepared to overcome real-world challenges when given the tools to do so.

Our programs run during summers and throughout the school year.  Students participate from 6th grade through high-school graduation.

Grades 6th through 12th are PSC KIDS.  PSC Kids earn scholarship dollars toward continuing education whether it be college or vocational.

Our PSC Performing Arts program teaches social-emotional learning, how to recognize negative behaviors and avoid them, promotes mental health through accredited curriculum teachings of coping skills for life and how to identify and develop their strengths.

The ultimate goal of Project Self Control is to ensure students graduate high school and are prepared to continue their education toward a career which will support them for life.

Your generous donations help PSC offer innovative incentives that change the lives of children.

Project Self Control is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, so your donations are tax deductible as allowable by law.

ABOUT US
  • Social Media

    • Unrealistic sense of self-worth

  • Bullying

    • Low self-esteem

  • Substance Abuse

    • Delinquency & self-destruction

Substance abuse disorders are among the top social challenges to American society.  For those they effect, they create a negative impact on every aspect of life.

Studies prove that substance abuse by children and young people can lead to a variety of problems including the development of delinquent and self-destructive behaviors, anti-social attitudes, and mental and physical health related issues.

According to a National Survey on Drug Use and Health, an estimated 22.5 million Americans ages 12 years and older are illicit drug users.  22.5 million represents 8.7% of the total American population in that age group.

All of the above can be avoided when a persons mental health is in good shape.

The Struggles

PSC solutions break the cycle of low self worth; low self-esteem; low self-image; substance abuse; and self-destructive behaviors. We address the mind (mental health), body (nutrition and exercise) and soul (inspirational teachings) with our PSC methods:
